libxmmsclient6 software package provides XMMS2 - client library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libxmmsclient6
libxmmsclient6 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libxmmsclient6 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libxmmsclient6 *
You will get with libxmmsclient6 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
